All six councillor wards in Vile Parle assembly constituency were  reserved for women. "It's amazing as the last time round, all the wards were represented by men," said Krishna Hegde, Congress legislator.
The wives of sitting corporators, Jagdish Amin and Kamlesh Rai, have been given tickets from their wards. Binita , the daughter of former legislator Prem Vora has been given a ticket, as also the wife of a Youth Congress activist, Sheetal Sutar.She is also the daughter-in-law of Nationalist Congress Party district president Raghunath Sutar.
